Third Coast Rhythm Project presents a buffet of international and nationally acclaimed rhythm masters in a 4 day extravaganza of American Tap Dance and Contemporary Percussive Arts. This unique event attracts dancers, choreographers, educators, musicians and rhythm explorers from around the country every summer to study, share, and fine tune their craft.

The festival, now in it’s 15th season, takes place July 19 – 22, 2012 in The Alamo City, and includes 60 workshop classes for all ages, including drumming and body percussion, choreography, youth program, jam sessions, archive film showings, participant showcase, and a one of a kind gala concert featuring the distinguished guest artists and the best jazz musicians in the southwest.

This year’s roster of international and nationally acclaimed artists will include our featured guest artist Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s Mr. Lane Alexander, America’s first lady of tap “Lady Di” Dianne Walker, RumbaTap’s Max Pollak, Tapestry Dance Company’s Acia Gray, Chicago’s Martin Tre’ Dumas and Jay Fagan, Stomp’s Lisa La Touche, Barbara Phillips, Nicole Hockenberry, Tasha Lawson, and percussionist Jai Roots.
